The Great Nanu Challenge

As you might know from my previous blogs that one of the issues that I struggle with the most is purpose. Life is gift and although the tree of life hit me repeatedly with the manky stick, I adamantly refuse to believe that my life is purposeless and that I cannot contribute positively to my families lives, my friends lives and to society (despite what ATOS and various politicians ridiculously claim to know).

I try to be a good person and I try to contribute to society by doing voluntary work and promoting knowledge sharing and awareness online through my blog.

However…

I REALLY enjoy setting myself challenge and tasks and aiming to successfully complete them.  They are challenges that probably seem pretty pointless to anyone other than myself but they give me a larger sense of connection and purpose.  Purpose is important.

My previous self-created challenges include The Hanx Challenge which I completed in style by meeting Tom Hanks himself!

This challenge concerns the awesome, inspiration.  Robin Williams.

Robin Williams committed suicide on the 11th August 2014, aged 63. The onset of Lewy Body Dementia contributed to his decision to take his own life.  Despite the utter tragic loss of a deeply troubled yet much loved man, the legacy of his 5 decade career in television, stand-up comedy and films weaves its own beautiful legend and will leave us with untainted, happy memories forever.

He inspired us with Dead Poets Society, Good Morning Vietnam and Good Will Hunting.  Made us roar with laughter with delights such as Mrs Doubtfire, RV and Flubber.  Creeped us out in One Hour Photo.  Made our imaginations fly in Hook and Jumanji.  Vocally charmed us with Ferngully, Aladdin and Happy Feet.
…and that list doesn’t even mention Mork and Mindy or Night at the Museum.

So, without further ado ladies and gentleman may I present to you, my own creation:

NANU MOVIE CHALLENGE

Challenge tasks:

1.       Create a list of all Robin Williams films. Only including those where he is credited as an actor (including tv movies – more challenging to get but aim high!!).

2.       Collect ALL the movies on the list on DVD, no time limit (may take a while!) All movies must be in DVD format and legally obtained (obvs!) and can be second hand (most will probably come from searching charity shops).

3.       Due to his death the movie list is finite, so the complete set of Mork and Mindy should also be obtained.

My task 1 list:
